Paralysis in spiritual matters is something that inflicts all those who live in sin and are not in right standing with God. Sin is more than a clichéd religious term; it is very real. It brings guilt into our lives and makes us aware that despite all we have, that something significant is missing. It robs us of happiness and keeps us perpetually hungry and thirsty. It provides a mirage in the spiritual desert that we constantly chase but never reach. Jesus knows this and came to offer life and life in abundance. The tragic death of 11 people and the horrific injuries of many more has sparked an investigation by the local authorities into the possible causes. The incident happened at around 1.40pm on Tuesday, June 5th, 6km outside the Northern Victorian town of Kerang. The accident has been described as Australia's worst rail disaster and it occurred when an experienced Wangaratta-based truck driver appeared to ignore the warning bells and lights at a railway level crossing.
